De-duplication is meant to removal of redundant data and other side biometrics de-duplication is to processing of biometric data of residents or citizens to remove instances of multiple enrolments by same residents / citizens. During de-duplication, matching the biometrics of a residents / citizens is done against the biometrics of other citizens to ensure that the same person is not enrolled more than once.

The given requirement can be solved by client-server architecture
The client will have to install the biometric device, wherein the users will have to punch for their attendance and access. The biometric data of a user will be captured and it will be sent to the server for further processing. Upon successful Identification, it will indicate a green light and upon failure of identifying the user, it will indicate a red light.
The application will be deployed on the physical server. The application will fetch biometric data from the clients. It will verify the user from the database and perform necessary business process calculation depending upon result sent to the client in the form of signal (either to allow or to restrict).
